* On June 23, 2020, the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Treasury, and Labor jointly issued a second round of guidance to implement the COVID-19-related coverage provisions in the Families First Coronavirus Response (Families First) Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Collectively, these two bills require comprehensive private health insurance plans to cover COVID-19 testing and related services without cost-sharing, although only for the duration of the declared public health emergency. Please consult your health insurance provider for more information and reimbursement procedures.
Please be advised, you may be also eligible to receive COVID related testing through various sources at no cost to you. Your insurance may waive your out-of-pocket cost for diagnostic testing related to COVID-19 when testing is medically necessary and performed by an approved testing facility. You will receive a receipt after each medical visit done through CitiMED that may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement through your healthcare insurance provider. The COVID-19 Total Antibody Assay (Including IgG IgM) test does not directly detect the virus and should not be used to diagnose or exclude COVID-19 infection. This test has been authorized by FDA for “emergency use” by authorized laboratories. This test has been authorized only to detect the presence of antibodies against SARSCoV-2, not for any other viruses or pathogens. All antibody tests currently in use may provide either false positive or false negative results. Even when the results are accurate, an antibody test may not be able to show if you have a current infection, because it can take 1-3 weeks after infection to make antibodies. It is not yet known if the presence of antibodies means that you are immune from further infection or if you are unable to transmit the coronavirus to others. Consequently, you should continue to follow CDC guidelines to minimize the risk of infection to others or reinfection of yourself – frequent handwashing, wearing a face mask in public and social distancing. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 you should talk to your healthcare provider who may recommend direct testing for the virus rather than an antibody test. If you have serious symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or a high fever, you should go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. ABOUT COVID-19

Your immunity and psychological wellbeing are our top priority. Our doctors are available online to help you cope with this unprecedented medical crisis, and provide you practical tools to create your New Normal.
How does the virus spread?
The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
Can someone who has been quarantined for COVID-19 spread the illness to others?
Quarantine means separating a person or group of people who have been exposed to a contagious disease but have not developed illness (symptoms) from others who have not been exposed, in order to prevent the possible spread of that disease. Quarantine is usually established for the incubation period of the communicable disease, which is the span of time during which people have developed illness after exposure. For COVID-19, the period of quarantine is 14 days from the last date of exposure because the incubation period for this virus is 2 to 14 days. Someone who has been released from COVID-19 quarantine is not considered a risk for spreading the virus to others because they have not developed illness during the incubation period.
How can I help protect myself?

The most common recommendations are to wash hands often and avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth; avoid close contact with other people, cover you mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others; cover coughs and sneezes; clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces daily; monitor your health and follow CDC guidance if symptoms develop.
